ST106 Initial adhesion tester
The ST106 initial adhesion tester, also known as the initial adhesion tester or tape adhesion tester, is designed and manufactured according to the requirements of the new version 2025 of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia "0952 Adhesion Determination Method - First Method - Determination of Initial Adhesion". The equipment adopts the inclined rolling ball method, which tests the initial adhesion of the sample to the steel ball by the adhesive tape, label and other products when there is a brief contact between the steel ball and the adhesive surface of the test sample under a small pressure. Suitable for conducting initial adhesion testing on pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, medical patches, self-adhesive labels, protective films, and other related products.
The initial adhesion tester is suitable for conducting initial adhesion testing on pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, self-adhesive labels, and other related products. The initial adhesion tester for labels follows the GB/T 4852 standard "Test Method for Initial Adhesion of Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tape - Rolling Ball Method", using the principle of inclined rolling ball method to characterize the initial adhesion performance of adhesive products by the maximum steel ball number that can be adhered.
Testing Principles:
Roll a steel ball over the adhesive surface of the adhesive tape placed flat on the inclined plate, and evaluate its initial adhesive strength based on the maximum size of the steel ball that can be adhered to the adhesive surface of the specified length; Or roll a steel ball of a specified size over an inclined groove and measure the distance it rolls on the adhesive surface of the adhesive tape on a horizontal plate to evaluate its initial viscosity.
Using the inclined rolling ball method, the initial adhesion of the sample is tested by the adhesion of the adhesive tape to the steel ball when there is a brief contact between the adhesive surface of the steel ball and the pressure-sensitive tape sample under slight pressure.
